Disciplined in Sophisticated Defense and Insurance Litigation

Gerald M. Boza has been with Butler since 2007. As a Partner with the firm, Gerald primarily practices with the firm's property coverage department. He works in the firm’s Tampa office.

While attending Stetson University College of Law, Gerald's achievements were numerous, and he has the distinction of being a founding member and president of the Stetson Maritime Law Society. Prior to earning his law degree in 2003, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in 1999.

Jay’s previous work includes the representation of businesses and insurers in defense of premises liability claims. He is a member of The Florida Bar, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida.

Jay obtained his captain's license (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels) in 2001, and was issued a Merchant Mariner Document of Continuity in 2011.
