Disciplined in Sophisticated Defense and Insurance Litigation

A Partner at Butler, Gerald "Jerry" Albrecht practices in our Arson and Fraud, Coverage Defense, and Extra-Contractual departments. Since joining the firm in 1989, Jerry has served on the firm's Executive Committee and Chair of the Property Coverage department. He is admitted to practice in all three Federal District Courts in the State of Florida, as well as all state courts in Florida. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubble. Jerry has handled cases throughout the United States and most notably tried, and won, the Russian Roulette wrongful death case.

Jerry is a frequent speaker and panelist on property coverage arson and fraud, and bad faith issues. He has presented for various organizations such as the Defense Research Institute, the Insurance Committee on Arson Control, and the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention.

Jerry is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Florida Bar. He is also a fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extra-Contractual Counsel. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Stetson University College of Law in 1986. He received the Victor O. Wehle Award for Outstanding Participation in Trial Practice.
