Allen Macchiavello

Allen C. Macchiavello is an associate in our Tampa office. He concentrates his practice in first-party property claims stemming from disputes on insurance coverage, policy interpretation, and the application
of policy exclusions. He defends property insurers on claims involving windstorms, fire, mold, theft, and water losses. These include claims and lawsuits from businesses, condominium associations, and
homeowners.

Prior to joining Butler, Mr. Macchiavello worked for a large insurance defense firm in Tampa, as well as some of the largest insurance carriers for commercial property, casualty insurance, and personal insurance. Mr.
Macchiavello also has had prior experience in securing approval of health and life insurance products as a compliance analyst for a large compliance and consulting firm, assisting with contracts and working with state
insurance departments, as well as monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, including healthcare laws and regulations affecting supplemental health products.

Mr. Macchiavello received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida in December 2015 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in May 2003, graduating with a
major in History. He also received a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of Miami in August 2010. While in law school, he was a student member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Hispanic
National Bar Association and the Florida Bar Young Lawyers – Law Division.

He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Florida as well as the Middle District of Florida. In his community, he has volunteered with Hillsborough County’s Guardian Ad Litem Program, the Hague Child Abduction Convention and served as a collaborator to the Office of the Federal Public Defender.
