Daniel Pittman is an Associate in our Tampa Office and practices in the area of first-party coverage, having joined Butler in 2024.

Daniel graduated from Wake Forest University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science. Daniel then earned his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. After graduating from Stetson, Daniel worked as an Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the state of Florida, gaining valuable courtroom experience. Following his time at the State Attorney’s office, Daniel transitioned into the world of civil litigation, working in the Miami and Tampa metropolitan areas in civil litigation, with a primary focus on first party property litigation.

Since 2018, Daniel has represented insurance carriers in first-party property disputes, including sinkholes, hurricanes, and other property-related damage claims. He has litigated cases across the State of Florida up to and through jury trial. Prior to joining Butler, Daniel worked for other large insurance defense firms, gaining experience in the areas of insurance litigation and personal injury defense.

Daniel is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and is also admitted to practice in the Middle District Court of Florida.

Daniel was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and is an avid baker in his spare time.
