A native Texan, Garrett J. McLearen is a Senior Associate in Butler’s Dallas Office. He has taken the life lessons he has learned and his experiences and applied them to the practice of law. Garrett believes that ideals like transparency, having a great work ethic, and being empathetic to the needs of other people are vital to being an effective attorney.
Garrett attended the University of Texas at Austin and he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree. Garrett realized at a young age that attorneys could bring comfort and assurance to individuals who needed their expertise to assist them with life changing events. With this in mind, Garrett sought after opportunities in law school to help people which is why he interned with the California Innocence Project and the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Small Business Center,respectfully. These opportunities allowed for him to help people in the criminal and civil law fields.
Prior to joining Butler, Garrett’s practice areas included personal injury, complex civil litigation, business law, and trademark law. He has had the privilege of representing clients over a wide spectrum of many different legal practice areas.
Outside of work Garrett is a mentor for the Dallas Young Lawyers Association led STEER program where he hopes to help young attorneys navigate their career paths by sharing his own unique career experiences.
