Jennifer Clare is an Associate in Butler’s Tampa office, where she practices in Construction and First-Party Coverage matters.

Before joining Butler, Jennifer gained valuable experience in criminal defense, working both with the Lee County Public Defender’s Office and a private criminal defense firm. She also has a background in family law and estate planning. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Jennifer spent 15 years as a high school teacher in her home state of Arkansas, where she taught Spanish and Advanced Placement History.

Jennifer is an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA), where she serves on both the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and the Community Service Committee. Outside of her professional commitments, Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew. She has traveled to over 35 countries, fueling her passion for exploring the world. Jennifer is also deeply involved in her church, Sacred Heart Parish, where she serves on the event planning committee.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with her cat, Pepper.
