Katelyn Wood is an Associate at Butler. Katelyn works in our Tampa office and practices in First-Party Property Coverage.

Katelyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2010. Katelyn continued her education at the University of Florida, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2013. During her time in law school, Katelyn served as a teaching assistant for Trial Practice and was selected as an Ambassador for the College of Law Orientation program. Additionally, Katelyn served as a legal extern for the Honorable Judge Ronald Ficarrotta and a certified legal intern for the Office of the State Attorney, both of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.

Prior to joining Butler, Katelyn served the people of the State of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit for over seven years. As a misdemeanor, felony line, and juvenile delinquency attorney, she handled thousands of cases, including attempted murders, and various other violent and non-violent felonies. Katelyn also litigated over 30 jury trials during her time as an Assistant State Attorney.
