Mariela I. Tassone is an Associate in Butler’s Tampa office, practicing in Construction Defect Litigation. Mariela represents sub-contractors, general contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, architects and engineers in claims brought against them in a variety of construction projects and disputes.

Prior to joining Butler, Mariela practiced construction defect litigation as well as other professional liability disputes in the Tampa area.

Mariela received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. In law school, she gained valuable experience while studying abroad in London, learning the differences between the U.S. legal systems and different E.U. governing bodies.

Active in her community, Mariela volunteers with the Pinellas County Guardian ad Litem program as a child advocate to assure that the best interests of the child are considered in court proceedings. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
