Michael Rainey is an Associate at Butler’s Tampa office, where he practices in First-Party Property Coverage and Extra-Contractual Claims.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Economics from Florida State University in 2013. He then received his Juris Doctor  from Stetson University College of Law in 2016. During his time at Stetson, Michael was a member of the Dispute Resolution Board and competed in both negotiation and mediation competitions. Michael also served for two semesters as teaching assistant to Judge Tom Barber’s Trial Advocacy class and was awarded the Victor O. Wehle award for excellence in trial advocacy upon graduation.

Prior to joining Butler, Michael worked at small firm in Tampa, where he primarily practiced first and third-party insurance defense as well as general civil litigation.
