Nicholas Encinas is an Associate Attorney in Butler’s main office in Tampa, Florida. His practice areas include general liability, third-party coverage, and extra-contractual claims.
Nicholas began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, prosecuting a range of misdemeanor and felony crimes from inception to trial. Prior to joining Butler, Nicholas served as in-house counsel for a large non-standard insurance company and primarily handled Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) matters. He also worked with law firms in the Tampa Bay area, where he defended insurance carriers against first-party and third-party claims.
Nicholas received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida. He earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Florida Levin College of Law. While there, Nicholas was awarded the Pro Bono Certificate in recognition for completing over 160 pro bono hours.
