Ryan Hutson is an Associate with Butler in the Tampa office practicing in all aspects of First-Party commercial and homeowners’ property coverage issues and Extra-Contractual “bad faith” issues. 

Ryan graduated magna cum laude from Stetson University in Deland, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. At Stetson, Ryan was involved in numerous leadership positions including President of the Student Senate, Student Government Vice President, President of Model Senate, and Team Leader of Student Ambassadors. Ryan was also an active member in Phi Sigma Kappa and the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi.

He received his Juris Doctor from Emory University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. In law school, Ryan was invited to join Emory’s ABA Moot Court team where he participated in moot court competitions across the nation. In his 3L year, Ryan coached the ABA Boston Regional Moot Court Championship team from Emory and was elected the Director of Emory’s Annual Moot Court Completion.

Prior to joining Butler, Ryan practiced Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, and Condo Association law in South Florida for seven years and has extensive experience in multiple areas of civil litigation.

Ryan is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida and the Federal Southern District of Florida.
