September 17, 2015 | EVENT| Subrogating Market Share Claims

Hobie Hind (Tampa) and Dean S. Rauchwerger (Chicago) of Butler's subrogation department presented a continuing education seminar on "Subrogating Market Share Claims" on September 17, 2015.  This program was delivered to a global insurer, providing commercial property and casualty insurance.  Hobie and Dean discussed the dynamics and many nuances of effectively developing market share recovery claims. They further addressed the importance of crisis management for catastrophic industrial losses. The secondary focus of the presentation was how to reduce expenses (leakage) on claims with no recovery potential, but which, if not managed correctly from day one, can cost thousands of dollars that will never generate a return on investment.

If you are interested in a similar client-dedicated continuing educational program on Subrogating Market Share Claims, please contact Hobie Hind (hind@butler.legal) or Dean S. Rauchwerger (drauchwerger@butler.legal).

Everyone who has ever played golf knows that the mental challenge of being good is harder than the physical aspects of the sport. For years when I was younger, almost every waking second (and many non-waking seconds!) was devoted to truly excelling at golf, and as I segued into the subrogation world, I realized that many of the mental drills and training tools I had worked on incessantly before were incredibly valuable to being effective now. We will focus on such concepts as visualization, perfect practice, planning for bad things, and playing against the course, not your fellow competitors.
