AJ is a Senior Associate in Butler’s Charlotte office, practicing in subrogation and recovery. He prides himself on helping clients achieve the best results while maintaining clear and consistent communication. He earned his BA in Political Science with a minor in Geological Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

AJ began his career in Workers’ Compensation defense before transitioning to consulting major US banks on compliance, regulation, and risk management. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced civil litigation defense, representing a diverse array of clients, from major retailers to local municipalities and private individuals. This extensive experience with complex cases enhances his ability to maximize subrogation recovery efforts.

His inquisitive nature and diverse background in both the private sector and legal fields enable him to determine the best course of action and provide clients with efficient paths to success.
