Amy Fuertes is a Senior Associate at Butler. She works in our Miami office, focusing her practice on first-party property coverage matters for national and local carriers. She litigates in state and federal courts and is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern districts of Florida.

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Amy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish for International Trade with a minor in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She then received her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. While in law school, Amy served as the Executive Editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Throughout her career, Amy has assisted clients in handling all types of homeowner’s and commercial property damage claims, both pre-suit and litigation.  Before joining Butler, she gained experience litigating first-party property damage insurance claims, representing insureds and multiple insurance companies in residential and commercial disputes.

Outside the office and courtroom, Amy enjoys spending quality time with her family, leading her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop, and cheering on her favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
