Andrew Benton

Andrew Benton is an Associate in Butler’s Tampa office whose practice focuses on first-party property coverage. He defends insurers against allegations of breach of contract and bad faith.

Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University, College of Law, in 2020. While in law school, he was a member of Florida A&M’s Moot Court team and served as an Associate Justice in the Student Government Association’s Law School Circuit Court. He also interned with Florida A&M’s Homelessness and Legal Advocacy Clinic, as well as the Law Offices of Julianne M. Holt, Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit.

Andrew began his legal career focusing primarily on personal injury defense, representing clients through all stages of litigation. He later transitioned into first-party property insurance defense. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Outside of the office, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and son, taking them to church, going to Disney, and watching football.
