David Chang

David Y. Chang is an Associate Attorney in Butler’s main office in Tampa, Florida. His practice is primarily devoted to liability insurance coverage disputes, focusing on general liability coverage.

Prior to joining Butler, David worked for another Florida law firm, handling general liability lawsuits in defense of commercial businesses, Florida airports, and their insurers. David has also litigated various homeowner and commercial first-party property claims, including windstorm losses, water losses, and sinkhole losses.

David attended the University of South Florida, where he received his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Biomedical Sciences and his Master’s degree in Medical Science. He then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, David was awarded his Pro Bono Service Certificate of Outstanding Achievement. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice in all federal courts in the State of Florida.

In his spare time, David enjoys saltwater fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
