Haneen Kantar is an Associate in Butler’s Tampa office, practicing in First-Party Coverage litigation matters.

She began her legal career as a Public Defender, where she refined her courtroom skills. Apart from litigating hundreds of motions and evidentiary hearings, Haneen served as lead counsel in numerous felony and misdemeanor trials. Before joining Butler, she gained experience in medical malpractice and general civil litigation.

Haneen graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Anthropology, cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, receiving CALI Book Awards in both Negotiation and Trial Practice.

Haneen is actively involved in the legal community. She serves as Co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute and a member of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers Leadership Academy.

Outside of her work, Haneen enjoys kayaking, playing pickleball, and traveling as a form of personal and professional enrichment.
