Jacqueline Carricato is a Senior Associate in Butler’s Tampa office. Her practice focuses on construction defect litigation, insurance coverage matters, and general commercial litigation. She has extensive experience in both state and federal courts and is admitted to practice in Florida and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
Jacqueline is a Tampa, Florida, native. Her interest in the legal profession developed in high school, where she participated in mock trials, Model United Nations, and debate. These experiences solidified her decision to pursue a career in law.
Jacqueline received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from the University of Florida and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, she specialized in Indian Law, focusing on tribal legal systems, federal Indian law, and international advocacy for Indigenous rights.
Before joining Butler, Jacqueline served as Of Counsel at a Tampa-based law firm, where she focused her practice on commercial litigation and construction matters. She has a history of representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in complex construction defect disputes.
Jacqueline is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Construction Law Section, the Federal Bar Association, and the Ferguson-White Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Junior League of Tampa and is involved with Berkeley Preparatory School, where she previously served as Lower Division Vice President and is the incoming President of the Parents’ Association. She is a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.
When Jacqueline is not tending to her professional duties, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and their three children.
