Malcolm Lewis, CIPP/US

Malcolm Lewis is an Associate in our Charlotte Office who handles First-Party coverage, Third-Party coverage, and Cyber Losses.

Malcolm is licensed to practice in North Carolina state and federal courts. He holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and earned recognition as an IAPP Westin Scholar Award for his excellence in privacy and data protection. He also received several other prestigious awards, being named an Intel Social Justice and Racial Equity Scholar and a Dell Technologies Legal Diversity Scholar.

Malcolm received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University and received his Juris Doctor, with high honors, from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. During law school, Malcolm served as Executive Editor of the Science & Intellectual Property Law Review. He also gained valuable experience through internships with Major League Baseball and Advance Auto Parts, where he primarily handled business law matters, including intellectual property and complex commercial contract disputes.

Malcolm is committed to providing strategic counsel to clients and effectively resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation. His expertise in the intersection of law and technology, combined with his passion for staying ahead of emerging legal trends, allows him to deliver insightful, forward-thinking advice.

Malcolm enjoys volunteering and engaging with fellow members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, outside of practicing law.
