Kathleen Phillips is Of Counsel in Butler’s Tampa office. She practices in first-party property, third-party property, and extra-contractual coverage.

Prior to joining Butler, Kathleen handled a broad range of civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, complex commercial litigation, personal injury, and a variety of fraud-related cases. Kathleen was also an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University’s School of Law. As an Adjunct Professor, Kathleen taught Legal Research & Writing, Advance Legal Research & Writing, and Appellate Advocacy.

Kathleen is admitted to practice law in Florida and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida. Kathleen received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law. While in law school, Kathleen received four Book Awards, two of which were for legal writing classes.
