Partners Tim Engelbrecht and Hobie Hind will participate in a panel presentation hosted by the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) on November 10, 2026, at The Old Library in the Lloyd’s Building in London.

Joined by Marco De Leon (McLarens), Jake Mello (J.S. Held), Aubrey Shea (J.S. Held), and Jaimie Greenless (Talbot), they will examine the fundamentals of handling significant winter storm claims through case studies exploring insurance coverage considerations and claims-related challenges.

The presentation will cover:

  • The Texas winter storm, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and the potential for similar events in the future.
  • Identifying coverage concerns and applying the reasonable standard of care language from the Texas Department of Insurance.
  • Evaluating the extent of damages and applying relevant insurance policy provisions.
  • Developing a comprehensive claims analysis workbook.
