Several new product recalls have been issued due to fire and burn hazards that could pose serious safety risks to consumers, particularly children.
Huffy Corporation has recalled its children’s Tonka Mighty Dump Truck Ride-On Toys. The electronic controller in these ride-on vehicles can overheat, creating a potential fire and burn hazard. Similarly, Huffy has also recalled its Torex UTV Ride-On Toys, sold exclusively at Walmart. These products were found to have improper internal wiring, which can cause the toy to overheat and catch fire.
Additionally, Sondiko has recalled its Butane Torches, sold through Amazon by Sondikodirt. The torches violate federal safety regulations for multipurpose lighters because they lack a child-resistant mechanism. This failure puts children at risk of serious burn injuries or even death due to unintentional ignition.
