Alexis Clemente is an Associate in Butler’s Tampa office. She practices in the appellate field with a focus on liability defense, first-party property, and extra-contractual matters in state and federal court.

Alexis is a Florida native who grew up in South Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology cum laude and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology cum laude. Alexis became a Double Gator when she also attended the University of Florida for law school. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2020 and thereafter moved to Tampa.

Prior to joining Butler, Alexis spent the majority of her legal career working as a Senior Staff Attorney to the Honorable Judge Darryl Casanueva at the Second District Court of Appeal, where she gained invaluable insight and experience in all facets of appellate law.

Outside of the office, Alexis enjoys baking, watching Gator Football, spending time with her family, and taking walks with her dog, Annabelle.
