Alina Evans is a Senior Associate at Butler, specializing in the litigation of first-party homeowners insurance claims, coverage defenses, and extra-contractual matters. She joined the firm in 2024, bringing with her a robust background in insurance law.
Alina earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in 2017 before pursuing her Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she graduated in May 2021. She successfully passed the Florida Bar Exam in September 2021.
Before joining Butler, Alina was a First-Party Coverage Attorney, representing insurance carriers statewide. Her practice included legal research, drafting and litigating motions, and handling various civil litigation matters. In 2023, she presented at the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee Conference, focusing on using appraisal and alternative dispute resolution techniques to combat excessive litigation.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Alina enjoys participating in exercise classes with friends, reading, and spending time with her Goldendoodle.
