Amy Baker is an associate in Butler’s Tampa office, practicing in our First-Party Coverage department. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2008. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of law in 2012. While at Stetson, Amy spent a semester as a Certified Legal Intern in their esteemed Prosecution Clinic where she conducted multiple jury trials and motion hearings as a law student.

It was from there that Amy graduated and started her career as a Prosecutor in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. As a felony attorney, she handled thousands of cases to include First Degree Murders and various other violent felony offenses. Amy also served as a Special Prosecutor for the Traffic Homicide Unit. During her time at the State, Amy litigated over thirty jury trials. Amy then represented the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in an array of legal matters. After spending nearly ten years serving her community in these capacities, Amy joined Butler to put her litigation experience to work in insurance defense.
