Ashley Powell

Ashley M. Powell is an Associate in our Tampa Office. She practices in the area of first-party coverage.

Ashley graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and French & Francophone Studies. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2015. While in law school, Ashley gained valuable courtroom experience as a certified legal intern for the juvenile law clinic, representing juveniles in dependency and delinquency matters. She was also a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy.

Since 2018, Ashley has represented insurance carriers in first-party property disputes, including sinkhole and high-exposure matters. She has litigated cases across the State of Florida and has second-chaired four jury trials to verdict. Prior to joining Butler, she worked for a large insurance defense firm in Tampa.

Ashley is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. She is also admitted to practice in the Northern and Middle District Courts of Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
