Jamal McBroom is an Associate at Butler, practicing in first-party coverage defense.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Jamal obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2017. While at UCF, Jamal gained his initial passion for the law through his undergraduate courses regarding U.S. Constitutional Law.

After graduating and interning at a family law firm in Jacksonville, Jamal continued his education at Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, Jamal became actively involved on campus, serving as a Stetson Ambassador, working at the Law Library, and earning his Juris Doctorate cum laude and from the Honors Program.

Upon being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2021, Jamal practiced at a prestigious insurance defense law firm in Tampa, handling premises liability and First-Party coverage cases. Jamal subsequently joined Butler in the summer of 2023.

In his spare time, Jamal likes watching UCF football, cheering for his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars, exercising, and spending time with his friends and family.
