Justine Roof is an Associate Attorney in Butler’s Tampa office. Her practice is primarily focused on the defense of first-party property claims, insurance coverage disputes, extra-contractual matters, and defense of bad faith claims. Justine represents insurers both at the state and federal trial levels throughout Florida.

Prior to practicing law, Justine received a Presidential Scholarship to attend Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, Justine competed on the trial team, placing fourth in the Tournament of Champions in California in 2017 and second in the Show Me Challenge, a jury selection competition, in Missouri in 2018. Justine also gained experience during law school working as a judicial intern in the Sixth Judicial Circuit and as a law clerk. Justine graduated Cum Laude and was in the top 15% of her graduating class.

Before joining Butler, Justine practiced insurance defense with a focus on first-party property matters. Justine was recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
