Patrick Lindley

Senior Associate | Dallas

Patrick Lindley is a Senior Associate specializing in Subrogation and Recovery at Butler’s Dallas, Texas office. With a strong commitment to his clients, Patrick utilizes his extensive legal training and practical experience, with time spent on both sides of the “aisle,” to navigate complex legal challenges.

Patrick was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, before heading off to Dallas, Texas to attend Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he obtained a Bachelor of Science. After completing his undergraduate studies, Patrick moved to Houston, Texas, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

After being admitted to the Texas Bar in 2017, Patrick practiced at a large, nationally-known Plaintiff-focused litigation firm in Houston, where his practice focused primarily on catastrophic personal injury, commercial vehicle cases, premises liability, and wrongful death matters. Patrick subsequently joined a highly regarded insurance defense firm in Dallas, where he focused on counseling multinational and regional insurers in first-party property and liability insurance disputes and related coverage matters.

Patrick has achieved significant success in disposing of cases without the need for trial, utilizing creative motion practice, mediation, and superior legal research skills. Patrick’s litigation experience covers commercial disputes, catastrophic losses, construction defects, and product liability matters. Some losses are relatively small, others are staggering, but in every case, his priority is obtaining the best resolution for the client.

Patrick is licensed to practice in all Texas State Courts, all Louisiana State Courts, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He is also licensed to practice in the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and son and their family and friends. Patrick is also an avid SMU Mustangs fan despite the pain which is (sometimes) caused by doing so.
