Yonit Rosengarten is a Partner at Butler’s Tampa Office, where she primarily practices third-party coverage with a focus on general liability coverage. She has extensive experience in handling and litigating claims involving general liability policies, excess and umbrella policies, automobile policies, environmental policies, homeowner policies, and professional liability policies. Yonit has been published in the DRI’s newsletter of the Insurance Law Committee and has presented in third-party coverage seminars for Butler’s clients.

Yonit earned her Juris Doctor Degree at Brooklyn Law School, where she graduated with honors. During law school, Yonit participated in numerous in-house clinics and internships,  including an internship at New York State Division of Human Rights, an internship at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, an internship at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, a housing law clinic, and an employment law clinic  in which she represented clients in their unemployment insurance hearings before the U.S. Department of Labor

Yonit also served as a research assistant for several law professors during which she conducted extensive research into numerous issues, which was subsequently incorporated into the professors’ legal writings. Yonit was also an Article Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review and received a CALI Award (highest grade) in Immigration Law, the Luke-Barranco Scholarship, and a Gold Public Service Award.

Before Joining Butler, Yonit clerked for the Honorable James A. Edwards at the Fifth District Court of Appeal. During her two-year clerkship at the Fifth District, Yonit reviewed complex criminal and civil appeals, conducted research on the legal issues raised in the appellate briefs, and drafted memoranda for review of the appellate panel, which summarized the key issues of the appeal and recommended affirmance or reversal to the panel.
