Butler periodically awards individuals with the STEP award – recognizing those who exemplify Service, Teamwork, Excellence and the firm’s Principles. This award is unusual – the firm has chosen to recognize the entire I.T. department for its amazing work in responding to the Covid-19 crisis. In March of this year, the firm recognized the need to transition to a work-from-home environment. The I.T. department created computer profiles for all of the new remote workers, assisted employees in setting up computers for work at home use, and monitored the system for optimal performance. Once the office shifted to remote work, the I.T. team has constantly helped with the “new normal” video-conference events, including hearings, depositions, mediations and firm meetings.
Under the leadership of Practice Technology and Support Director Carol Serrano and Information Technology Manager Dom Le Cao, the team of Patrick Malley, Tarik Griggs, Phil Jacob and Manuel Oliva helped the attorneys and staff at Butler seamlessly transition to a new environment with no disruption in service to our clients. They are the very embodiment of Service, Teamwork and Principles, and the firm is pleased to recognize them with the STEP award.
