This session will address the different elements of the roof, exterior of the building (windows and doors) and breaking down the elements and how it affects the loss; evaluate when repair, removal, reinstallation of a new roof is required or appropriate, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the methods; identify potential arguments utilized to support inflated claims and how to address them; determine the impact of codes on various repair methodologies and pitfalls to be aware of when evaluating repairs; and develop awareness of the potential downsides to proceeding through litigation and exposures to fees.
