Michael Montgomery Honored with Ryan Cigich Distinguished Service Award

Congratulations to our Alabama Partner, Michael Montgomery, on being awarded the Ryan Cigich Distinguished Service Award at this year’s USYS Southern Regional Championships! With over 15 years of experience as a referee, including 7 years on the field, he is now serving his first year as Alabama’s State Referee Administrator. In his new appointment, Michael plays a key role in training, licensing, and curating referees for regional and national events. This award recognizes his outstanding leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to the development of referees across the state. Michael’s impact on and off the field is a tribute to his dedication in guiding young athletes every day.
