LEM Products Distribution Recalls 5-Tray Food Dehydrators Due to Fire Hazard

LEM Products Distribution has announced a voluntary recall of its 5-tray food dehydrators. LEM has received two reports of fan failure both resulting in a fire in the units. No injuries have been reported. The recall involves gray metal and plastic dehydrators, model number 1009 located on the back panel of the product along with the company’s contact details. The involved 5-tray food dehydrators were sold nationwide from August 2010 through February 2013.

This recall presents a potential avenue of recovery about which subrogation professionals should be aware when evaluating losses.
