D. Grayson (“Gray”) Kelly is a Partner at Butler. He practices primarily in the areas of first-party property insurance defense and related extra-contractual matters.

A native of North Carolina, Gray obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Florida International University College of Law and received Dean’s List recognition.

After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010, Gray practiced at a commercial litigation firm in South Florida, where he represented banks, financial institutions, and local businesses in commercial litigation matters, including contractual and real property-related disputes. Gray subsequently joined a highly regarded insurance defense firm in South Florida, where he focused on counseling multinational and regional insurers in first-party property and liability insurance disputes and related coverage matters.

Gray is licensed to practice in all Florida State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is also licensed to practice in North Carolina.
