Dean Rauchwerger, a Partner at Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig, presented a PLRB/NASP Webinar titled “Fire Spread: Practical Strategies for Developing Fire Spread Liability Theories” on August 29, 2017.

Often overlooked, significant recovery opportunities abound for fire spread losses. This presentation focuses on the increased damages from fire spread, beyond fire origin and cause. This seminar discusses the theories and practical strategies for developing recovery avenues for failures that allow small fires to grow large and cause extensive damages. Recovery avenues include inadequate or defective fire stops and fire separations; defective or improperly maintained fire protection equipment; flammable contents or construction materials; negligent storage of combustible materials; fire spread from adjoining properties; inadequate firefighting; and errors with fire safety management.”
