Gree Reannounces Recall of Dehumidifiers Due to Serious Fire and Burn Hazards; More Fires and Property Damage Reported

The information below is a recall notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) reannouncing a recall of Danby, De’Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, GE, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima Dehumidifiers. Specific model numbers for the recalled product are listed on the CPSC website at the link below. Gree has reannounced a voluntary recall of 13 brands of dehumidifiers. The number of reported incidents of overheating and fires have The involved dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke and catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. The recall involves the 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 65 and 70-pint dehumidifiers with brand names Danby, De’Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, GE, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima. Model numbers are printed on the back, front and side of the unit. The involved dehumidifiers were sold nationwide in stores and online from January 2005 through August 2013.
